Situated on an idyllic palm fringed island in the North Male atoll, Makunudu is a quality resort with just 36 thatched roof bungalows in traditional Maldivian style;-just perfect for a quiet, intimate holiday or honeymoon. With so few rooms and such an excellent reputation for good food and relaxation, you will need to book very early (at least 12 months ahead for Christmas and Easter) to avoid disappointment.
The island has superb beaches and the house reef offers great snorkelling. The semi-detached rooms are discretely set behind the beach amongst the lush, tropical foliage. Makunudu has quite a reputation for serving excellent food. Breakfast and lunch are buffet style, whilst dinner is a carefully prepared set menu.
A very relaxing, laid back, value for money, small resort. One of our favourites! Highly recommended for couples, honeymooners and special occasions – but please book early!
